About USA Country Sourdough
USA Country Sourdough started in November of 2024. Michael and Robyn moved to North Carolina from San Francisco for her job back in 2018. While they quickly fell in love with Raleigh, they really couldn't find any sourdough bread comparable to what they could get on most street corners in San Francisco. Then disaster struck: Robyn was laid off. Life got very stressful trying to navigate through the challenge, and Michael needed a way to lessen his burdens while helping her cope with hers.
Michael's first love had always been in the kitchen, and he decided to try to create the perfect sourdough. Elroy the Sourdough Starter was born on 11/11/2024, and after many months of trial and error, USA Country Sourdough was born in August of 2025!
USA Country Sourdough makes just one thing: organic sourdough bread. Hand-crafted, long-fermented, and baked fresh in small batches, each loaf is unique. All loaves are nourishing and a whole food.
To honor the community they have come to love, Michael and Robyn are committed to using only the freshest locally-sourced organic ingredients to produce the best (and best for you!) sourdough bread!
